This is a cover up he had done whilst on R & R. You can barely make out the scar over his left boob – it’s in the eagle’s top black section of its wing. He also has a scar under the eagle’s bottom feathers. He was stabbed in a bar fight years ago by some neo-Nazis. But I already told you guys that story.
The tattoo artist did a fabu job. I wish I had a before picture of the tattoo he got covered up – but the hubbie was too embarrased to have me photograph it. I think the tattoo artist did take a pic of the before and the after so he could document his work. I’ll have to ask him if I can have a copy of the photo.
The eagle’s head and talons need to be colored in still – but he’s going to wait to have that done until he gets back from Iraq. It took eight hours to do – and my husband being how he is, had it done all in one shot. It hurt like the dickens, and he said it put him at a new level of mental toughness. He’s such a stud

I got another tattoo done also. I need to take a pic of it, but it’s on my arm so it’s slightly challenging (I am a re-re after all).
A different artist did mine, and while I love her to death and think she is a sweetheart, she’s not as talented as the guy who did my husband’s eagle. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a very good tattoo, I just noticed a difference in their techniques.

that tat is soo kik azz! i really like the different shades of red that u can see in there, froma deep dark red, to a kind of lite almost pinkish red below his clavicle.
my coworker has a full sleeve and it looks like a toddler did it. he’s spent almost $1,500, countless hours, lots of pain to hav it completed and it looks less than stellar.. dont tell him though haha

That is one cool tat but OUCH!! I’ve only got two teeny tiny tattoos and they were painful enough. I could never get one that big. Coz I’m a great big wuss.
