Michael Jackson

1958-2009

There’s really nothing that I can say that hasn’t already been said.  We lost a truly great talent.  May his memory live on forever through his music. Rest in peace, Michael.

Really sad. Michael will live on through his music. RIP.

It may be difficult to see beyond the sorrow and sadness today but look back with fond memories and that will help comfort you tomorrow.

I find the Law of the Conservation of Energy a comfort at these times – The universe has a fixed amount of energy, that energy doesn’t go up or down, but energy can be converted from one form to another.

May whatever energy he possessed endure the way his music is sure to!

Some may mock me, but his music has truly changed my life for the better. For someone who lived his life mostly alone, he had a great deal to say about love, and also about dealing with the lack of it. Man In The Mirror is still one of my anthems, constantly pushing me to make myself a better person and through that, making the world a tiny bit better place to live. I think he was painfully aware of his own imperfection and never stopped to improve himself and that is the best example a public figure can show his followers.

    • Jaded, don’t feel ashamed for expressing your feelings because only you know what Michael meant to you and how he has shaped your life. This man was apart of a lot of our childhoods and some of us may feel like those memories are gone with him.

People have really been pissing me off lately focusing on the negative. Sure he’s had a lot of bad press in his final years for being so isolated and eccentric, but the haters can’t deny that he has left an indelible mark on music history. Ask any musician that came along in the last 30-40 years and they will tell you that they were influenced by Michael Jackson. He set the bar really high for what a true entertainer should be.

  5. Check me out on Facebook Akeelers, I posted some stuff that might bring a smile.

    • Jackson 5 cartoon! I remember watching a few episodes of those. I am from the Thriller era, and I used to carry around his Thriller album and kiss it and fight with my sister over who was his girlfriend. I had a thing for girly-men even back then! LOL

      • I love Thriller! I was terrified of the video when I was little, but after a while I toughened up and started doing those zombie dance moves on my lawn with the neighborhood kids. We were fierce I tell ya!

i love how anyone who has ever known someone who knew someone who knew a guy that hung out with MJ once is weighing in about their intimate association with him and making all about them. It’s like as always way to keep it klassy, Hollywood.
and i dont even want to think about what a mess it’s going to become when people start fighting over his kids and his estate and his used dental floss. people get so gross in situations like these like when James Brown passed. that debacle became such a disgrace and i hate say i just know this will too.

  8. mike Says:

He had some of the best music videos. The “Smooth Criminal” video is my favorite.

  9. joders Says:

I kind of keep hoping that he’s gone into hiding and is holed up somewhere laughing at the world. But I really don’t think he’d do that and not take his kids.

A great talent, gone too soon.

    Rest in Peace, Michael.
